Carla D. Harmon

January 8, 1949 – December 7, 2022.

Carla Dawn Campbell Harmon, age 73, passed away, Wednesday December 7th, 2022 peacefully in her bed in Gilbert, AZ.

She was born in Hawthorne, CA, to Irving and Betty Campbell. She is the eldest of 8 children. She grew up in Rescue, CA on her family’s cattle ranch. She fed chickens and gathered their eggs, helped with the pigs, and worked hard to keep the cows in the pastures.

She married George Harmon February 20th, 1971. They were married for 51 years.

They built a house on a 10-acre parcel on the family ranch and spent much of their married life there. That is where they raised their 8 children. They moved to Arizona in 2006.

Carla was an avid reader and loved playing the piano. She liked to sing, including spending several years performing with the Foothill Women’s Chorus in California. One of her passions was Polynesian Hula dancing which she did for many years in a performing group. She also loved mailing special notes and stickers to her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband, 8 children, and 12 grandchildren. She is also survived by her 7siblings.

We know Carla is in a better place and looking down on us with love.
