Obituary
SITKA, Jean, age 86, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Port Huron, Michigan and Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, passed away on July 5, 2014. She was the beloved wife of William Sitka; loving mother of daughters, Tanice Reilly, Daraleen Shales and Jody Amick and son Randall Sitka; mother-in-law to Robert Reilly, Paul Shales and Shawn Amick; grandmother to granddaughters Jennifer Harjer and Allison Reilly, and grandson Brendan Reilly and his wife, Liliana; sister to Marjorie Tomchuk/Aronson; sister-in-law to Howard Aronson of Connecticut. She is also the loving sister to her late brother Steven Tomchuk and her late sister-in-law, Helen Tomchuk of Port Huron. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Frank and Kay Sitka of Michigan. Auntie Jean will be missed by cousins, nieces, nephew and grand nieces and grand nephew and family friends throughout the US and Canada. A community-minded, kind and generous person, Jean was active in the Port Huron, Michigan Waterways Girl Scout Council as a volunteer and, after 33 years, retired from her Field Director position. Jean also founded and managed the Sitka Hockey Skating School, working with talented local skaters. Memorial Services will be held at the Velda Rose United Methodist Church, 5540 E Main Street, Mesa, Arizona at 10:00 am on August 5, 2014.
