Obituary

Jose “Pepe” Arrieta was born in Ysleta, TX to Jose and Socorra Arrieta on April 28th, 1946. And entered into eternal peace on March 15th, 2026.

Jose is proceeded in death by his parents Jose Arrieta, Socorro Carrasco-Arrieta, his son Jose “Joey” Arrieta, Three Brothers Robert, Saul and Danny Arrieta. His Wife Brenda Arrieta, Niece Gina Arrieta and Nephew Matthew Arrieta. He is survived by his Daughters Diana Murrietta(D-Peter Murrietta) and Delia Arrieta(Mike) and Stepson Jon Toutloff. Three grandchildren Johnny Murrietta(Amanda), Stephanie Solorzano(Josh) and Julia Arrieta and Seven Great Grandchildren Noelani, Kiana, Ezekiel, Lance, Henry, James and Emiliano, Three Brothers David, Ernie and Rene Arrieta and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He moved to Arizona in 1964 where he started his family, he worked multiple jobs until he found his calling at Coombs Awnings until retirement. He was a stubborn man I can say the most stubborn of the (Magnificent 7) Brothers. Jose started working at a very young age on family ranch in Fabens, Texas, so he grew up stern and expected everyone to have strong work ethics. He loved to go camping with family and friends, playing cards, dominos and solitaire. Made his own style of the peg game and corn hole he used giant coins and made his own boards.

Jose loved his red tractor and farming he loved all his farm animals, especially his Boxers who were patiently waiting for their Daddy. He had a love for old, classic Country music with Johnny Cash being is all time favorite enjoyed all the Highwaymen’s music. He loved John Wayne movies and all Westerns.

Services will be held at Ascend Church Tempe located at 1615 E. Guadalupe Rd, Tempe, AZ 85283 at 1 PM, Friday, April 24, 2026.

Your grandkids and great grandkids were blessed to have you for so long.. Just still can’t get over you left us until we see each other again my life will be missing you and my heart will be broken.
