Obituary
Kirk Dale Baehner, a devoted husband, loving father, and steadfast servant of his faith, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024 at the age of 71. Born on November 7, 1952 in Sydney, NE, he spent a lifetime enriching the lives of those around him.
Kirk was the beloved husband of Ann-Marie Baehner, with whom he shared a beautiful love and friendship spanning 43 years. Together, they built a loving home and raised two children, Teresa and Tony.
Kirk was an honest individual who valued hard-work. A graduate of Brigham Young University, he worked whatever jobs necessary to pay for his education, earning a degree in Computer Science, before embarking on a successful career. He was proud that he dedicated the majority of his professional life to FedEx, where he retired from after over 25 years of service in 2022.
Throughout his life, Kirk found immense joy in serving his church and his community. As a dedicated Boy Scout leader, he instilled in young minds the values of leadership, character, and service. A man of deep faith, Kirk lived his life as a constant example of Christian love and compassion. His unwavering belief in God guided him through every chapter of his life. He was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help others in need.
Kirk is survived by his wife, Ann-Marie Baehner, their children, Teresa Baehner and Tony Baehner, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous cherished friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Kirk was a simple and humble man who requested that no funeral or memorial service be held on his behalf. In lieu of a formal service, the family requests that those who wish to honor Kirk’s memory, do so by performing acts of kindness and service for others. Whether through volunteering your time, making a donation to a charity, or simply offering a helping hand.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm on your face
And the rain fall soft on your fields.
And until we’re all together again,
May the Lord keep us all in the palm of his hand.

Learning of your passing saddened many of your FedEx co-workers as we remember you as the go to guy for SEP application. But more importantly as a warm hearted individual who was always will to help. Your kindness did not go unnoticed. Rest peacefully my friend. Job well done.

Kirk was such a soft soul. I could always talk to Kirk as a person, not just a co-worker. Working with him for FedEx made me see the good in a person and made me feel a bit selfish. Been years since I had the pleasure of working with Kirk. No doubt the world is a bit harsher without his presence. Thank you Baehner’s for letting him be part of my life even it was only 9-5
