Obituary

Our beautiful mother, Marlene Allen LeCount, 77, passed away on July 6, 2015 in Mesa, Arizona, after battling lung cancer. She was born on April 27, 1938 in Latah, Washington. She is preceded in death by her mother, Edith Anderson Davis, and her father, Harry Walter Allen, and is survived by her sister, Bonnie Allen, her former husband, David Allen LeCount, her children, Jana LeCount Lowe and David James LeCount, granddaughter, Allison Raye Lowe, nieces Lisa Lair-Kupsch, Robin LeCount Betz, Kary Lamb Lee, and Genevieve Sciamanda Groce, and nephews Bob LeCount, Don LeCount, David Lamb, Michael Lamb, and Jim Lamb.

Marlene was a skilled executive secretary, beginning in the days of shorthand, and could type over 100 words per minute. She was a stay at home mother from 1963 to 1976, returning to the workforce when her children were older.

Marlene was an exceptionally kind and generous mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, with grace, elegance and humor, and will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be gathering at a private celebration of her life, and will be notified soon of further details.

  1. We are so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I remember always feeling welcome when we were at the house as kids and that she had a great sense of humor. Please let us know what we can do.

Big hug from Joe and Herma
