Obituary

Linda Ellen Fritz Wilson, 79, of Cave Creek, Arizona, passed away surrounded by her family on March 11, 2021, in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Linda was born on April 24, 1941, the oldest child of Edwin and Betty Searle Fritz in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Early in her life she studied art at the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee which sparked a life long passion for the arts.
In 1962, Linda graduated as an registered nurse from St. Agnes School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse at Our Lady of Mercy and St. Anthony Hospitals while raising her family, and later in life as an award winning medical sales representative before returning to nursing at Hospice of the Valley in Arizona.
Linda met her first husband in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the early 1960s and the started a family in Sauk Village, Illinois, then moving to Northwest Indiana in the early 1970s. Together they had five children. Linda was a devoted mom who loved her family.
In August 1996, Linda married Edward B. Wilson. Together they enjoyed traveling to exotic places such as Africa on safari, the beaches of Hawaii, and to the sites of ancient ruins. They started businesses together in two different states, volunteered together for their church, enjoyed performing arts, ballets and operas together and supported their favorite sports teams.
In her later years, Linda enjoyed tennis leagues, golfing, hiking, participating in art guilds, and gardening classes; she was a lifelong learner. Linda was an avid reader, sometimes reading four or five books at a time. She also was a writer of poetry, short stories, and she even began a novel. In her retirement, she honed her artistic skills- water colors, pastels, and digital photography were some of her favorites.
Linda was a dedicated grandmother, delighted by all of her grandchildren’s milestones and achievements.
Linda is preceded in death by her father, Edwin Fritz and her brother, Peter Fritz.
Linda is survived by her husband, Edward B. Wilson; her mother, Betty Fritz; her siblings, Paul Fritz (Victoria) and Beckian Goldberg (Richard); her children Adam Burczyk, Gabriel Burczyk (Barbara Fabbri), Rebecca Ellen Burczyk, Noah Edward Burczyk, and Zachary Fritz (Susan Tuller); her stepchildren Laura deLannoy (Martin), Anne Marie Smith (Jim), Ted Wilson, Sarah Carlson (Dustin); and her grandchildren Ray Burczyk, Nathaniel Burczyk, Nicolo Coyote Burczyk, Valentino Roberto Burcyzk, Rheilly Cole, Remington Fritz, Tucker Fritz, Joseph deLannoy, Caroline deLannoy, Henry deLannoy, Samuel Smith, Michael Smith, Cameron Carlson, and Zachary Carlson
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Cave Creek Ward Chapel 38008 North Basin Road, Cave Creek, Arizona 85331. Please follow all social distancing and masking requirements while in the church.
