“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7

Sam Lee Storkson, 69, passed away on December 26, 2018 in Mesa, AZ. He was born on October 21, 1949 (the first half of the last century as he always said) in Glasgow, MT. He is survived by his wife, Adele Storkson of Chandler, AZ, two daughters, Kristen Storkson-Enss of Kansas City, MO and Kelda Smith of Chandler, AZ, his son-in-law Adam Smith and two grandchildren, Preston and Emeline, of Chandler, AZ, as well as two brothers, Jay and Roy Storkson and his sister Betty Roos.
In Sam Storkson’s 40 year career in ministry, he served in seven pastorates and on several ministerial alliances to foster interdenominational camaraderie and cooperation. Additionally, he was a police chaplain, volunteer fireman, hospital chaplain and orchestrated weekly Bible studies in elder care facilities across the Midwest. Sam had a heart for service. His time off was spent shoveling snow for the homebound, hauling hay and digging fence post for local farmers and chopping wood for anyone in need. He is remembered fondly by everyone he encountered.
A Memorial Celebration will be held at Banner Church of the Nazarene in Anderson, MO on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2pm. Please join us in celebrating Sam Storkson’s legacy.

My sincere condolences to your family and may God give your family power beyond what is normal to help you through this difficult time. God never intended for humans to suffer the debilitating effects of aging. On the contrary, his purpose was and still is that men and women enjoy perfect health in Paradise. Only when paradise is restored, will we be able to enjoy peace, plenty of food and vibrant health along with everlasting life. Many of our loved ones will be resurrected when ‘the meek ones will possess the earth…’ Psalm 37:11.
