Obituary

Thomas Joseph Kaider, passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2022 with his family by his side in Phoenix, Arizona.  He was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Tom is survived by his parents Joseph and Phyllis Kaider, siblings Lorraine (Mike), Russell (Pam) and Michael and his 4 adult children, Caitlyn, Stephanie (Nate), Joshua and Mary, as well as Aunt’s, Uncle’s, cousin’s, niece’s and nephew’s.

Tom loved the great outdoors, over the years he enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing, sports, bicycling, coin and stamp collecting.  His greatest joy was knowing and sharing the love of Christ.

He was an Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow recipient.  He served in the Navy as a nuclear power technician on a Los Angeles class fast attack submarine.  He then worked at Lockheed Martin in Cape Canaveral, Florida, and worked on the space shuttle for many years.  His career path then took him to Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he worked on weather satellites for L3Harris.

Tom’s career was a proud accomplishment for him but he found true pleasure in being with family and friends.  Tom was a patriotic American and held a sincere appreciation for the freedoms that we have today.

His family’s collective heart is heavy with grief.  We know he knew he was loved and for that we are grateful.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the American Heart Association in his honor.  www.Heart.org
