Obituary

Virginia Kaye Berry (nee Stevenson), 76, passed away on June 12, 2021 at Ryan House Hospice, Phoenix, AZ, after a long, brave and valiant battle against vocal cord cancer. It may be the only thing that ever beat her. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Victoria, her father Harold and brothers Harry, Dennis, David and Norbert. There were many things she enjoyed in her retirement years, such as crossword puzzles, Westerns of any kind, reading, going to dinner and spending time with her oldest daughter and winning almost every game of Scrabble she played with her youngest daughter. She also loved to binge watch the ID channel and any sort of true crime show she could find. Mom loved shopping, even just window shopping, and proved one can definitely have too many rugs in the house. Mom was fiercely independent, stubborn and a jack of all trades.You would be hard pressed trying to think of things she didn’t know how to do. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Kimmie (John) Hugg of Mesa, AZ, Michele (Michael Fox) Berry of La Palma, CA, one son, Timothy Berry Sr. of Indianapolis, IN , and her younger brother Bruce Stevenson of Covington, IN. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her little yorkie Herbie, and many beloved friends and family. Per her wishes, there will be no services. Mom will always be with her 2 daughters, who she loved being around more than anything. We will be forever grateful to her for showing us how to be strong, tough women and we will forever miss her. We will miss her crabbiness slightly less.
