Wayne W. Wigand

Wayne William Wigand, age 68, a Queen Creek, Arizona resident, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 24, 2021.  Wayne was born on May 5, 1953 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, son of the late Kenneth and Patricia (Vincent) Wigand.

Wayne was a 1971 graduate of Columbia High School in East Greenbush, NY.  After graduating from High School, Wayne joined the United States Air Force, and was stationed at Williams Field in Mesa, Arizona.  Wayne earned a Bachelor Degree from Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona and attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, working on duel graduate degrees in Aeronautical Studies.

Wayne went on to work in the Aerospace Industry working at companies such as Honeywell, Boeing and M.D. Helicopter, as an Aerospace Engineer.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Sara Brandt, of Queen Creek, Arizona, three children: Kenny (Angela) Wigand, Gilbert, Arizona; Scott Wigand, Mesa, Arizona; and Carissa (Jason) Parker, Frisco, Texas; the mother of his children, Deborah (North) Wigand, Mesa, Arizona; Five Grandchildren: Jacob Cousins, Gilbert, Arizona; Aidan Wigand, Gilbert, Arizona; Greyson Wigand, Gilbert, Arizona; Reese Parker, Frisco, Texas; and Gavin Parker, Frisco, Texas; three step children: Michael Warren, Cookeville, Tennessee; Adam (Kirsten) Brennan, Gilbert, Arizona; Adrienne (Bruce) Gile, Gilbert, Arizona; six step grandchildren: Ethan Warren, Crossville, Tennessee; Nicholas Warren, Crossville, Tennessee; Kieran Brennan, Gilbert, Arizona; Meara Brennan, Gilbert, Arizona; Skylar Gile, Gilbert, Arizona; and Ryder Gile, Gilbert, Arizona.  Aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.

Wayne loved books and had a insatiable appetite for reading.  He loved to watch movies and listen to music.  He also enjoyed going to live concerts and attending his grandchildren’s soccer games, concerts and sporting events.  Additionally, he cherished his summer vacations in Door County, Wisconsin.

A small service will be held at A Wise Choice Funeral Chapel, Mesa, Arizona on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Mike Molina of Hospice at Home of Arizona will officiate for the family.
