Obituary

Jean Marie (Workman) Woods passed away on February 2, 2015 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born July 5, 1929 in Vinton, IA.  She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Leonard R Woods. They were married September 2, 1947 in Center Point, Iowa at the Methodist Church.

Her children are: Bruce Woods (Mesa, AZ): “She was always there for us.”  Steve Woods (Harshaw, WI): “You’re the greatest Mom in the world.” Peg (Woods) Briggs (Mesa, AZ): “Mom made me laugh every day. She never wanted to be a burden, she always said “I’m OK””. Bob Woods (Monroe, WI): “Mom’s passing will be immeasurable to those of us whom she brought into this world and raised to see adulthood”. Larry Woods (Dublin, CA): “Mom, you have the biggest and most loving heart in the world.  Heaven has gained a special angel.”   Cherie (Woods) Portinga (Port Saint Lucie, FL): “Hugs & kisses, smiles & tears mom always knew what I needed and when.”

Her grandchildren are: Jason Woods (Flagstaff, AZ) Josh Woods (Harshaw, WI) Alex Woods (Dublin, CA) Jonathan Portinga (Augusta, GA) Christian Portinga (Schofield Barracks, Hawaii)

Her great grandchildren are: Matisyn Woods (Flagstaff, AZ) Conner Woods (Flagstaff, AZ).

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Jeans name to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.ALZ.ORG) or to your local Non-profit Hospice.
