Obituary
Yale Isaacson Rogers, 86, son, brother, husband, father, friend, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. After suffering a series of health-related events that resulted in a stroke, Yale passed away on Sunday, November 10th, 2024. He will be dearly missed by his family as well as the many people whose lives he touched throughout his life. All who knew him felt his genuine love for people, and he will forever be remembered for his kindness to his family and fellow man. Yale was born May 14, 1938, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was from a pioneer family that settled in St. Johns, Arizona, until he was 16 when they moved to Mesa, Arizona. During his years in Northern Arizona, he had the opportunity to work hard and enjoy the beautiful sites of his family’s ranch. As a second-generation native of Arizona, Yale graduated from Mesa High School in 1956. He served a mission for two and a half years for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil. He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Ruth Richards Rogers. They were married for 54 years in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on February 14, 1970. Yale is remembered by his two children, Cindy (Michael Hobby) and Joseph Rogers (Maria Farina), who are very grateful for him coming into their lives. Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also remember him. Ashley (Jon Leitch), Alyssa (Matthew Richardson), Angela (Jesse Sandoval), Camy, Camilla (Aaron Malone), Joseph, Lucia, and Isaac Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents, David White Rogers and Esther Isaacson Rogers; his brothers Waldo (Lila Jarvis) and Ellis (Nina Johnson) and Sister Joan Ann (Vance) Judd; Nephew Mike Judd; and grandson Shawn Rogers. He attended Arizona State University, Samford University, and Cumberland School of Law. He enjoyed his 33-year career as a prosecutor for the City of Phoenix. Many friends and family benefited from his legal advice. Yale was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He willingly served in many church-related positions and helped wherever he was needed. He could fix almost anything and was willing to share his time and knowledge.
His immediate and extended family greatly benefited from his legal, mechanical, and passion for learning. We will love and miss him. Yale leaves behind a family who loved him and friends who will carry forward his legacy of love, compassion, and service to others. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the countless lives touched by his spirit.
A funeral service will be held on 11/21/2004 to honor Yale’s life, with a reception to follow.
