Obituary

Thomas M. Hagen, 61, passed away on August 7, 2017 in Mesa, Arizona.  He was born April 20, 1956 in Rolette, North Dakota.

He is survived by his wife, Susan E. Hagen; his children, Jackie (Joseph) Sutton, Mikkel (Jennifer) Hagen, Nicholas (Olivia) Hagen, Deonna Hagen, Marisa Hagen, Andrew Hagen, Cristina Hagen, Anessa Hagen, Isabella Hagen; his grandchildren, Isaiah Sutton, Victoria Sutton, Janessa Sutton, Lillian Sutton, Kailee Hagen, Emma Hagen, Grayson Hagen, Lincoln Hagen; his parents, Thomas and Darlene Hagen; and one sister, Kathy (Dan) Kalil.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church, 2605 S. Signal Butte Rd., Mesa, Arizona, 85209.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Youth Ministry at Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church.

    I am so very sorry and shocked to hear of Tom’s passing.
    He was one of the kindest and most likeable people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He will be greatly missed and so fondly remembered.

    Mrs Hagen and family, I’m sorry for your loss. I was the privileged recipient of LTC Hagen’s leadership as an ROTC cadet under his command. His leadership influenced an entire cohort of Army officers, that are still leading in many places in the Army. He truly left a legacy beyond the most personal legacy that you represent. I hope that you find peace in this time of sorrow.
