Nancy Ernestine Trout

January 19, 1940 – October 14, 2021

Nancy was born on January 19, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio to Clayton and Lucille Martindale.

Nancy’s childhood was spent in Columbus.  She attended Anderson College where she met Bill Brock.  They married and had 2 sons, Curtis, and Tim.  In 1969 the family moved to Arizona.  Nancy later attended Scottsdale Community College and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree.  In 1983 she met and married Ronald Trout. Ron’s job took them to Las Cruces New Mexico, Omaha Nebraska, Reston Virginia, Chandler Arizona and Tucson Arizona.  In 2000 they retired to Las Cruces, New Mexico where they were both active at St Paul’s United Methodist Church.  Deciding that they would like to be closer to family, they moved back to Gold Canyon, Arizona.

Nancy loved arts and crafts and worked at various church youth camps as the craft lady.  She was a quilter, tole painter, did macrame and various other crafts.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Clayton and Lucille Martindale, sisters Mary Thompson and Sue Gibson, and stepson Christopher Trout.  Nancy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ronald Trout, two sons Curtis Martin Brock and Timothy Leonard Brock (Holly Williams), two grandchildren Holden Martin Ridge and Felix Martin Brock; her brother Warren Martindale (Ginger); two stepsons Scott Trout (Joanne) and Trent Trout; and two granddaughters Brenna Trout and Kasey Trout.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 1 pm at Gold Canyon United Methodist Church, Mission Center.  Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund.
